Job summary

Northern Lights Locating and Inspection, Inc. is seeking Utility Locators to support our 24/7 nationwide service.

You will locate underground utilities for 811 tickets, interpret maps and GIS data, and mark locations with flags or paint, documenting findings and taking photos. Candidates should have at least 2 years locator experience, be comfortable with a cell phone app for recording marks, maintain equipment, and be willing to travel 75% or more.

Qualifications

• 2+ years locator experience required.
• Ability to read maps and as-built drawings.
• Comfortable using a cell phone app to record locations.
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities for clients and property owners based on 811 tickets.
• Mark locations using flags or paint and prepare reports.
• Take photos of located utilities and document work.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in good condition.
• Travel up to 75%+ as needed.
