Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We provide 100% paid on-the-job training and a work environment that values safety and problem solving.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour with on-the-job training, a company vehicle with a fuel card, PTO and paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Carrying up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lifting up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop computer to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best locating method and sequence.
• Use provided locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities and communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.
