Job description

• Locate underground telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer utilities safely and efficiently
• Search designated areas for underground utilities
• Accurately mark utility locations
• Complete required documentation and photograph each locate
• Work independently in the field using a company-provided vehicle
• Perform work with a 48-hour turnaround, including generally working the day after holidays and some weekends as needed
• Work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, based on business needs

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Able to work in a confined space, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
