What you’ll do as a Trainee Locator

• Learn utility locating techniques, safety protocols, and how to operate equipment
• Develop an understanding of local utility infrastructure and regulations
• Partner with experienced Locators to mark underground utility lines
• Operate utility locating equipment
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Operate company vehicle safely
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours responsibilities as needed

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (non-provisional) and acceptable MVR record

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, use hand tools, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, perform work in all weather conditions
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces, climb stairs, walk on uneven terrain

Transferable skills include: Facility Maintenance, Technician, Route Driver, Meter Reading, Landscaping, Outdoor Work, Pest Control, Surveying, Military, Underground Utility Locating, Construction, Laborer

Salary Range: $20 - $24/hr (based on experience)

Note: Pay scale is $20 - $24/hr, commensurate with experience
