What you’ll do as a Trainee Locator

• Learn utility locating techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation
• Develop understanding of local utility infrastructure and regulations
• Partner with experienced locators to mark underground utility lines
• Operate utility locating equipment
• Document findings using digital mapping tools
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Operate company vehicle safely
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/after-hours duties as needed

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
• Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) and acceptable MVR

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicles, perform manual tasks, lift up to 55 lbs, work in all weather conditions
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces, climb stairs, walk on uneven terrain

Transferable skills

Facility maintenance, technician, route driver, meter reading, landscaping, outdoor work, pest control, surveying, military, underground utility locating, construction, laborer.

Salary Range

$20 - $24/hr (based on experience)
