Job summary

ELM Utility Services, a nationwide team of over 1700 employees, seeks a Utility Locate Technician in Sammamish, WA. You will locate and mark gas, electric, and communication lines to prevent excavation damage, using marking paint and flags. LaunchPoint software supports daily task management and scheduling.

Starting wages are $25.50–$32.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include a company vehicle, fuel card, cell phone, and optional medical options.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle record, and background check.
• Safety-Sensitive DOT position; compliance with DOT regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform locate and mark underground utilities outdoors using marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Receive daily tasks via mobile work system and complete a route of locate requests.
• Work independently with company-provided vehicle as mobile office; may require on-call, nights, and weekends.
