Job summary

ELM Utility Services in Lakewood, Washington is seeking a Utility Locate Technician to mark and locate underground utilities to prevent damage during excavation. You will operate a company vehicle, work outdoors, and use marking tools and the LaunchPoint system.

Starting wages for this position will be $24.50-$32.00 per hour depending on experience, with a total rewards package including vehicle, benefits, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR.
• Safety-Sensitive DOT position compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors independently with company vehicle to complete daily locate routes.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities using paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use mobile system to receive and track daily tasks.
• On-call rotation with overtime including nights and weekends when needed.
