Job summary

Elm-Utility-Services in Durango, Colorado is seeking a Utility Locate Technician to join our nationwide team. You will locate and mark underground gas, electric, and communications utilities, using marking paint, flags, and the LaunchPoint software system.

This full-time role offers a company vehicle, a competitive starting wage of $25.00 per hour, overtime, on-call rotation, and comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, H.S.A., and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background check.
• This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position compliant with federal regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors with a company vehicle as the mobile office, completing a route of locate requests daily.
• Locate and mark underground utilities using paint, flags, and whiskers when required, safely and accurately.
• Use the mobile work system to receive daily tasks and scheduling.
• Be available for on-call rotation and overtime, including nights and weekends when necessary.

ELM Technicians are essential in their communities, ensuring that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well-maintained. They perform high-quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation of these vital facilities. Our technicians use the advanced LaunchPoint software system, which incorporates the latest technology to create efficiencies. Starting wages for this position will be $25.00, depending on experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:
