ELM Utility Services in Flagstaff, Arizona is hiring a Utility Locate Technician to join a nationwide team of 1900+ employees. You will locate and mark underground utilities to prevent damage during excavation, using marking paint, flags, and a mobile work system.

Qualifications

• DOT safety-sensitive position requiring compliance with federal regulations.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background check.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Independently locate and mark underground utilities using paint and flags.
• Operate a company-provided vehicle as a mobile office on daily routes.
• Receive and complete daily tasks via mobile work system.
• Be available for on-call rotation and overtime, including nights/weekends.

Our technicians use the advanced LaunchPoint software system, which incorporates the latest technology to create efficiencies. Starting wage for this position will be $22.00.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks
• Must be able to work on-call rotation and overtime as needed. This may include working on nights and weekends when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check. ***Please note: This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of Marijuana remains a drug listed in Schedule III of the Controlled Substances Act, and the use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
