Job summary

ELM Utility Services in Durango, Colorado is seeking a Utility Locate Technician to accurately locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers. You will operate a company vehicle as your mobile office on a daily route of locate requests.

This DOT-safety sensitive role requires passing pre-employment screenings, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work nights or weekends as needed; the position includes a comprehensive benefits package and a starting wage

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record check, and background check.
• Safety-Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors with company vehicle as mobile office, completing a route of locate requests daily.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
