Job summary

The City of Celina is seeking a dedicated Utility Line Maintenance Worker to support the water and wastewater systems. You will install, maintain, and repair mains, service lines, valves, hydrants, and pumping facilities, and monitor meters and control equipment.

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a valid C driver’s license and the ability to pass drug screening and background checks. The city operates a 4-day work week and offers strong benefits and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of the water and wastewater utilities including main lines, service lines, valves, hydrants, and treatment and/or pumping facilities.
• Check meters, gauges, pumps, and control panels to verify correct operation of equipment and records information.
• Operate, maintain, and repair all pumps, control panels, chlorinators, and chemical feed pumps.
• Monitor employees operating equipment to prevent damage to other utility lines while digging.
