Job summary
The City of Celina is seeking a skilled Utility Line Maintenance Crew Leader to supervise construction, installation, repair and maintenance of water utility systems and devices. You will issue work orders, allocate resources, inspect equipment, and guide crew members in safety and quality practices to keep systems reliable.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Three years water utility maintenance or construction experience.
- Texas Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Must possess a TCEQ Class C Water License.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
- Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and participate in the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of water utility systems and devices.
- Issue work orders and assignments, and allocate equipment, materials and supplies to complete projects.
- Inspect, direct, and oversee maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and tools.
- Instruct crew members in placement of traffic warning signs, cones, and barricades.

As the Utility Line Maintenance Crew Leader, you will: Supervise and participate in the technical construction, installation, repair and maintenance, treatment facilities, utility systems and utility devices. Issue work orders and assignments, equipment, tools, materials and supplies necessary to complete work projects as well as track an order water repair parts and inventory. Inspect, direct, and oversee the maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of assigned vehicles, equipment, and tools. Instruct crew members in the placement of traffic warning signs, cones, and barricades.
The City of Celina operates on a 4-day work week.
- Balanced schedule – 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday–Thursday

- 80 hours per year up to the completion of 5 years of service
