Job summary

Team Fishel is hiring Utility Laborers in Rochester, PA to support projects across the greater Pittsburgh area. You will assist the crew safely to complete projects on time and to customer specifications for quality.

No prior experience is required and on-the-job training is provided, including flagging certification, tool operation and safety practices. Occasional travel may be required with per diem paid for out-of-town projects.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach.
• Must be able to lift, carry and place heavy objects.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must have the ability to work extended hours when needed.
• At least 18 years old with High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).
• Occasional extended travel required (Per Diem paid for all out-of-town projects)

Responsibilities

• Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor.
• Handle physically demanding construction duties in an outdoor environment.
• Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, shovel work, and in the operation of power tools.
• Be willing to learn career development skills related to utility construction, including the operation of equipment. Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.
