This role emphasizes safety, GMP compliance, and the ability to support multiple departments as needed. The first shift requires physical stamina and adherence to Tyson Foods policies and procedures.

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, workstations, walls, floors, and processing areas.
• Assist with product movement using pallet jacks, carts, or other approved equipment.
• Support production line operations by supplying materials, removing waste, and maintaining workflow.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently following established procedures.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing skilled production support and utility functions throughout the poultry processing facility while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson Foods policies and procedures. Team members in this role are expected to be cross-trained in multiple departments, support production operations as needed, and perform a variety of labor-intensive and equipment-related tasks to ensure efficient plant operations.

Essential Functions

• Maintain and promote Tyson Foods' safety culture.
• Follow all food safety, quality assurance, animal welfare, and regulatory requirements.
• Receive training and maintain proficiency in multiple production and utility functions.
• Support staffing and operational needs across various departments within the facility.
• Assist with equipment setup, operation, sanitation, and production support activities.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation standards.
• Inspect work areas and equipment for safety, maintenance, and quality concerns.
• Communicate production, quality, or equipment issues to management promptly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform utility labor functions in production, packaging, processing, shipping, receiving, or support areas.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, workstations, walls, floors, and processing areas.
• Assist with product movement using pallet jacks, carts, or other approved equipment.
• Support production line operations by supplying materials, removing waste, and maintaining workflow.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently following established procedures.
• Complete required production, quality, and sanitation documentation.
• Assist with changeovers and preparation of production areas.
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the assigned work area.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
