Job summary

RECONN is hiring an Utility Inspection Technician in the Toledo, OH area. This daytime, full-time role involves inspecting gas meters for leaks and corrosion, performing visual checks, and completing necessary paperwork.

You will work with a company vehicle and be responsible for identifying abnormal conditions on-site. We provide training, a dedicated vehicle, and a comprehensive benefits package, with potential overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Able to pass a drug screen due to safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret utility maps.
• Comfortable standing and walking for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Check gas meters for leaks and corrosion with visual inspection.
• Complete required paperwork/data during inspections.
• Report to assigned work area at start of shift and identify abnormal conditions.
• Fill out forms accurately, electronically or on paper.

Meter Inspection Technicians will be required to report to their respective work area on time at the start of each shift. While on-site, the technician will be responsible for identifying any abnormal operating conditions along with accurately filling out all forms associated with the inspection visit (the form may be electronic or paper).We are currently hiring throughout the Toledo, OH area.These are daytime, full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor-led training will be provided. Previous outdoor experience is a plusAvailable to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as neededAble to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.Proficiency with technologyAble to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
