Job Title: Utility

Schedule: 6:00PM-6:00AM

Location: Carol Stream, IL. This position will be relocating to our new state-of-the-art facility in Elgin, IL in 2025!

Summary of Job

The Production Associate will work in various areas of our manufacturing plant. The main job functions include moving raw materials, components, and finished goods, performing general housekeeping, and assisting with manual labor under the supervision of an Operations Supervisor. The role may also involve assisting in the manufacturing process of finished goods. This is an entry-level position offering growth opportunities within the company.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The candidate will prioritize safety and perform tasks such as:

1. Feeding items into machinery, assembling boxes, stacking goods on pallets, and applying stretch wrap by hand.
2. Checking for defective products for reprocessing and repair.
3. Providing labor support and backfilling positions as needed.
4. Standing and working safely, identifying hazards, and maintaining cleanliness.
5. Handling materials and final products for shipment.
6. Opening and closing rolls of product, cleaning, inspecting, and wrapping products.
7. Sorting products by size, grade, part number, and material.
8. Inspecting products for quality conformance.
9. Recording production data such as quantities, meter readings, and timestamps.
10. Counting finished products for distribution and completion.
11. Attaching stickers, tags, and tying products for shipment.

Competency (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Strong safety awareness.
• Good eye/hand coordination and motor skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Exposure to moving equipment.
• Ability to work in humid conditions exceeding 80%.

Physical Characteristics

• Frequent standing, stooping, squatting (up to 75%).
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds.
• Handling heavy machinery, including pallet jacks.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Compensation
