Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Utility Capital Forester to inspect and evaluate trees along utility lines, coordinate line-clearance crews, and liaise with clients. The position requires field work, outdoor conditions, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications include forestry or related degree or equivalent experience; GIS experience is preferred; valid driver’s license and ISA certification are a plus. Competitive benefits and ESOP are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree or related field in forestry or environmental studies, or equivalent experience
• Experience in vegetation management preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• GIS data collection software/hardware experience preferred
• Self-motivated, organized and production oriented
• Able to manage a geographic area independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license
• ISA Arborist certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
• Act as liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers
