HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking an Estimator in Helena, Montana to bridge engineering design and project execution by developing detailed cost projections for gas and electric distribution systems for new and existing customers.

You will analyze drawings, field data, and GIS information to drive accurate estimates, coordinate with engineering and estimating teams, and support permitting. This role offers independent work with field coordination and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams to ensure financial accuracy.
• Proficient with Excel and cost modeling.
• Basic working knowledge of 2D CAD or GIS software.

Responsabilités

• Develop detailed cost estimates and take-offs for subsurface utility projects (gas and electricity).
• Analyze drawings, surveys, and standards to determine labor, material, and equipment requirements.
• Own the estimating phase from initiation to final cost reconciliation.
• Prepare construction drawings and cost packages using estimating software and Excel models.
• Coordinate with vendors for competitive pricing and with field staff for data collection.
• Manage deadlines and estimating schedules; support permitting processes.
