Job summary

The Town of Mooresville is seeking an experienced Utility Engineer to support planning, design, and management of water and wastewater systems. You will model systems, analyze capacity, and help update the Water and Wastewater Master Plan, collaborating with operations staff, consultants, and regulators.

Must have ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree and NC PE licensure, with at least five years in municipal utility engineering and project management. A valid NC driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in an ABET-accredited program.
• Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina.
• Coursework in Municipal/Environmental/Water Resources Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform water distribution and wastewater capacity analyses.
• Develop and maintain hydraulic models for system performance.
• Plan, manage, and coordinate water and wastewater CIP projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, regulators, and other Town departments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
