The City of Lexington invites applications for a Utilities Engineer to advance water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role requires planning, design review, capital project delivery, construction administration and regulatory coordination as the in-house engineering resource for utility projects.
Qualifications include a civil/environmental engineering degree, EIT within six months, two years of relevant experience, and a valid NC driver’s license.
The Utilities Engineer performs advanced engineering work for the Water/Wastewater utility systems, including planning, design review, capital project delivery, construction administration, regulatory coordination, and technical review of public utility infrastructure. This position serves as the City’s in-house engineering resource for assigned utility projects and works closely with City departments, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Paid bi-weekly.
Must be able to attend meetings as required
