Job summary

Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) is seeking a New Service Representative to serve as the primary contact for commercial and residential land developers and builders in the Knoxville area. This role coordinates with developers, contractors, engineers, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of utility services.

The position requires strong communication, customer service, time management, and familiarity with utility design and policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and oral communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for commercial and residential land developers and builders.
Prepare/review designs, economic analysis, cost estimates, and service agreements.
Coordinate with developers, contractors, engineers, inspectors, internal KUB teams, and external agencies to ensure smooth project delivery.
Manage multiple land development and utility installation projects simultaneously.
Advise customers on land development and/or utility service policies, utility fees, easements, agreements, and other KUB programs.
Stay up to date on all KUB regulations, utility extension policies, customer-service policies, safety standards, and procedures.
Participate in occasional after-hours storm restoration efforts.
