Job summary

ELEMENT Engineering Group seeks a Utility Design Engineer in Tampa, FL to prepare utility designs for roadway projects, produce reports and CAD drawings, and ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Required: Florida PE or EI preparing for the PE, 5+ years' experience, a BS in Civil Engineering; experience with reports, plans, estimates, and FDOT/AASHTO standards; MicroStation; OpenRoads is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; PE or EI on track to take the PE exam.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in utility design for roadway projects.
• Experience with FDOT Design Manual and AASHTO standards.

Responsibilities

• Identify existing utilities and read preliminary plans.
• Develop plans, profiles, specifications, and estimates for utility design projects.
• Prepare reports, calculations, estimates, and plans for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams and utility owners.
• Produce engineering construction drawings of plan sets.
