Job summary

ELEMENT Engineering Group is seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer to lead the design of transportation projects in Southwest Florida. You will guide staff, review plans, and coordinate with clients to uphold high quality standards.

The role offers opportunities to manage projects or focus on advanced technical work within a collaborative team. A strong PE license in Florida and five years of post-registration experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Florida.
• At least five years of post-registration experience.
• Experience leading roadway design and production.
• Experience reviewing roadway plans and documentation.
• Familiarity with FDOT and AASHTO design standards.
• Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MicroStation and/or ORD.
• Commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead technical engineer and/or engineer of record for roadway design projects.
• Direct and assist the preparation of roadway plans, calculations, and documentation.
• Conduct field reviews.
• Perform quality control reviews.

ELEMENT Engineering Group has an incredible opportunity for an experienced Roadway Engineer to join their growing team in Southwest Florida. This individual will be an integral part of the ELEMENT Roadway Group by leading the design for a wide variety of transportation projects, providing guidance and support to staff, and reviewing plans and documentation to help ensure ELEMENT maintains our reputation for quality.
