Responsibilities include cleaning, waste handling, equipment operation, and responding to requests while maintaining inventory and reporting issues. A Top Secret SCI CI poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience preferred in custodial/janitorial roles.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Active Top Secret SCI W/ CI Poly clearance is required or preferred.

• Perform daily custodial services in secure spaces, including offices, conference rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Handle waste disposal, recycling, and shredding per security procedures.
• Safely operate custodial equipment and use approved cleaners per safety standards.
• Respond to scheduled and unscheduled cleaning requests, including spill response.
• Maintain supply inventory and report shortages or equipment issues.
• Follow access control, badge, escort, and compartmentalization rules at all times.
• Report security concerns or safety hazards immediately to the proper personnel.
• Support emergency procedures and business continuity activities as directed.

Job description

As the Utility Custodian, you’re essential to daily operations and require professionalism, discretion, and strict adherence to security protocols. The Utility Janitor performs routine and specialized Janitorial duties in sensitive spaces while complying with all safety, security, and confidentiality requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform daily custodial services including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining offices, conference rooms, restrooms, corridors, and common areas within a secure facility
• Handle waste disposal, recycling, and shredding in accordance with IC security and information protection procedures
• Safely operate custodial equipment and use approved cleaning agents in compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
• Respond to scheduled and unscheduled cleaning requests, including spill response and special event support
• Maintain custodial supply inventory and report shortages or equipment issues
• Follow strict access control, badge, escort, and compartmentalization requirements at all times
• Immediately report security concerns, safety hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel
• Support emergency procedures and continuity-of-operations activities as directed
• Maintain professionalism and discretion when working around sensitive personnel, materials, and spaces

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in the industry is preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
