Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking a motivated Utility Coordinator to join our Transportation team in Lexington, SC. You will coordinate with utility providers on DOT projects and help interpret plans to identify utility impacts.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience (4 years if no degree) and familiarity with SCDOT procedures, MicroStation/AutoCAD, and MS Office. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or 4 years of experience without degree.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with SCDOT procedures for utility coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with utility providers for DOT transportation projects.
• Evaluate potential utility conflicts with existing utilities.
• Interpret highway construction plans and drainage layouts to identify impacts.
• Attend field meetings and site investigations as required.
• Plan, manage, and coordinate multiple work assignments.
• Use CAD software to develop and produce drawings.
