Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson in Charleston, SC seeks a Utility Coordinator to join the South and North Carolina Utilities Team. The successful candidate will coordinate utility relocation efforts during roadway and bridge design phases under moderate supervision.

The role requires 2–4 years of utility coordination/design experience, strong communication and writing skills, and proficiency with MS Office and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education is preferred.
• 2–4 years related experience in utility coordination and/or design.
• Experience with SCDOT or NCDOT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze survey information, drawings, and plans for accuracy.
• Coordinate utility relocation efforts with utility owners and DOTs.
• Organize design information from multiple sources to meet specs.
• Lead meetings to achieve schedule milestones.
• Prepare Utility by Others plans and associated documents.
