Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a motivated Utility/Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Transportation team in our Raleigh, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, North Charleston, SC, or Lexington, SC offices. The role focuses on water/wastewater and other civil projects, requiring collaboration with utility owners and regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental/water resources engineering and at least 2 years of design experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
• At least 2 years of relevant design experience

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design of water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects
• Evaluating and analyzing existing projects
• Coordinating with multiple utility owners, SCDOT, NCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies
• Preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects
• Preparing design computations and quantity estimates
• Developing construction cost estimates for projects within the department

Education

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering or similar discipline

Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Utility/Water/Wastewater Engineer in our Raleigh, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, North Charleston, SC, or Lexington, SC office locations.

Responsibilities Include

• Assisting with the design of water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects


• Evaluating and analyzing existing projects


• Coordinating with multiple utility owners, SCDOT, NCDOT, municipalities and regulatory agencies

A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering or similar discipline from an accredited college or university


• At least 2 years of relevant design experience

• AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software experience


• 2+ years of relevant experience


• EIT certification
