Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transportation/Utility Coordination professional to support utility conflicts identification and resolution on roadway projects in Houston.

You will assist with SUE investigations, prepare client deliverables, QA/QC documents, and coordinate with utility owners, project managers, and clients while adhering to QA/QC guidelines. Travel typically 10% to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, both verbal and written, with clients and teammates.
• Ability to read and understand civil transportation engineering plans.
• Attention to detail, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Read and interpret deeds, easements and other property documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, communicate, and resolve utility conflicts on Transportation/Roadway projects.
• Coordinate Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) investigations, schedules and submittals.
• Prepare client deliverables, utility exhibits, and project invoices.
• QA/QC of utility agreements, plans, and invoices for compliance.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and utility owners to meet schedules.
• Travel typically 10% and support meetings, including minutes for in-person and virtual sessions.
