Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services is seeking personnel to support utilities construction projects in the Chicago area. The role involves preparing work sites, locating utilities, and coordinating with equipment operators to ensure safe, efficient progress.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license (CDL preferred), and willingness to travel with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel and able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Experience installing gas mains or fiber optic cables preferred.
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work site to locate utilities and mitigate hazards.
• Signal operators to facilitate equipment movement.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Configure pipe routes and assemble gas piping and equipment.
• Follow safety standards during trenching, laying pipe, and joint sealing.
• Ensure pipes are aligned and covered with dirt or material.
