Job summary

Meijer is hiring an entry-level Courtesy Team Member to support store operations and deliver great customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with cart retrieval, trash collection, basic cleaning, and collaboration with service desk and departments across the store.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, have strong listening and communication skills, and can lift and move items while complying with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve shopping carts from outside the store and return them inside.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Process perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Collaborate with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Support multiple departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
