Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across services, product and customer service. Team members enjoy interacting with people and delivering above-and-beyond service in a family-friendly environment.

As a Meijer Courtesy Team Member, you will support carts, parking lot upkeep, trash removal, snow removal, returns, cleaning, and coordinating with departments while learning operations and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and bend during shift.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect parking lot, lawn, and interior trash.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment during winter.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, entrances, lanes and parking areas.
• Collaborate with multiple departments across store sections.
• Other duties as assigned.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
