Job summary

ADP is seeking a Utilities & Finance Specialist in Salida, CO. The role handles utility billing, payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now, customer service, and general administration to support city finances.

You will manage billing accounts, assist with accounts payable/receivable, maintain records, and coordinate with City departments to ensure accurate financial operations. Regular hours, non-exempt, with a focus on accuracy and service.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of clerical, accounting, or bookkeeping experience that includes billing responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or a closely related field preferred.
• Accounting, utility billing, and payroll administration is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Administer all aspects of utility billing program, including account setup, billing generation, meter data integration, customer account management, and final billing.
• Research and resolve customer billing inquiries; process adjustments, payments, and auto-pay accounts.
• Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now; reconcile payroll reports and respond to inquiries.
• Perform accounts payable/receivable support, journal entries, and assist with audits and internal controls.
• Provide professional customer service and backup support for front desk operations and deposits.
