Areas USA, Inc. is hiring a Utility Associate in our Food and Beverage Operations. The role maintains sanitation for glassware, tableware, utensils, and related equipment, using machine and manual cleaning methods.

You will help keep the dishwashing area clean, safe, and sanitary and support the kitchen line with organized storage and deliveries. This non-exempt, full-time position requires at least 6 months in a restaurant setting, basic reading of labels and chemicals, and strong safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a restaurant environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Verbal and written communication in English essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of floors, ceilings, walls, worktables and equipment.
• Sort, rinse and load dirty dishes and utensils into the dish machine.
• Carry clean dishes to the cook line and proper storage areas.
• Notify the Manager when the dish machine or rinse cycle falls below safety temperatures.
• Load/unload supplies and rotate and check temperatures of food items.
• Stock, date, rotate and organize deliveries and items.
• Maintain and clean the dish machine throughout the day.
• Additional duties as directed.

Job Title:Utility AssociatePay Rate: $25.50 per hourDepartment:Food and Beverage OperationsReports To:Concept ManagerStatus:Non — ExemptBroad Functions: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain the cleanliness of floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, meat blocks, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, serving trays, and storage areas.Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage area.Able to pick up trash/ garbage and able to remove trash and garbage from dumpster.Must notify the Manager anytime the dish machine or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment and steam cleaning trash receptacles.Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas.Stock, date, rotate and check the temperature of food items.Organizes and places deliveries in their assigned place.Maintain and clean dish machine during the day.Other Duties as directed.Skills and Qualifications:A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a restaurant environment.A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.Verbal and written communication is essential.
