Job summary

Areas USA, Inc. is seeking a Utility Associate for Food and Beverage Operations in Saint Paul, MN. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of glassware, tableware, and kitchen utensils using both machine and manual cleaning methods.

You will ensure the dishwashing area remains clean, safe, and sanitary. Responsibilities include sorting and rinsing dishes, transporting items to storage or the cook line, and assisting with deliveries and temperature checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a restaurant environment.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Verbal and written communication in English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, equipment, and other foodservice areas.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes and load them into the dish machine.
• Carry clean dishes to cook line and proper storage areas.
• Notify Manager if dish machine or rinse temperatures fall below safety standards.
• Clean equipment with chemicals to sanitary standards and operate dish machine.
• Load/unload supply deliveries and organize in assigned areas.
• Rotate and check temperatures of food items; stock and date products.

Position Title: Utility AssociateDepartment: Food and Beverage OperationsReports To: Concept ManagerStatus: Non-ExemptPay Rate: $19.55 per hourBroad Functions: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain the cleanliness of floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, meat blocks, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, serving trays, and storage areas.Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage area.Able to pick up trash/ garbage and also able to remove trash and garbage from dumpster.Must notify the Manager anytime dish machine or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment and steam cleaning trash receptacles.Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas.Stock, date, rotate and check the temperature of food items.Organizes and places deliveries in their assigned place.Maintain and clean dish machine during the day.Other Duties as directed.Skills and Qualifications:A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a restaurant environment.A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.Verbal and written communication is essential.
