Recruiting.com LLC is seeking a Utility in Beckley, WV to maintain cleanliness and sanitation for glassware, tableware, and utensils, and to keep the dishwashing area safe and orderly. This is a non-exempt, full-time role with a $14.00 hourly pay rate.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, loading and unloading supplies, and ensuring correct temperatures and labeling. Applicants should have at least 6 months in a restaurant setting and a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months minimum experience in a restaurant environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Verbal and written communication essential; English proficiency preferred.
• Must be able to read labels and chemicals.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of floors, ceilings, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, trays, and storage areas.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes and utensils; send through the dish machine.
• Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and storage areas.
• Able to pick up and remove trash/garbage from dumpsters.
• Notify Manager if dish machine or rinse cycle falls below safety temperatures.
• Clean equipment using chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may involve heavy equipment and steam cleaning.
• Load/unload supply trucks; transfer between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate and check temperatures of food items.
• Organize deliveries and place in assigned locations.
• Maintain and clean the dish machine throughout the day.
• Other duties as directed.

Broad Functions: Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, meat blocks, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, serving trays, and storage areas.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
• Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage area.
• Able to pick up trash/ garbage and be able to remove trash and garbage from dumpster.
• Must notify Manager anytime dish machine or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards; may include the use of heavy equipment and steam cleaning trash receptacles.
• Load/unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas.
• Stock, date, rotate and check the temperature of food items.
• Organizes and places deliveries in their assigned place.
• Maintain and clean dish machine during the day.
• Other Duties as directed.
