Job summary

Saia is seeking a facility and equipment maintenance associate in Georgia responsible for general cleaning, basic repairs, and helping coordinate routine maintenance of trucks, trailers, and shop areas. The role includes inventory checks, parts pickups, and supporting vendors and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities, trucks, and trailers with general cleaning.
• Drive trucks and trailers to yards for routine maintenance.
• Clean and maintain shop areas not covered by janitorial services.
• Schedule and pick up ordered parts and supplies.
• Maintain and track inventory records; perform regular checks.
• Assist in distributing supplies and equipment to departments.
• Facilitate communication between vendors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with business partners.

Position Summary

Supports the general maintenance and operational tasks of keeping facilities and equipment operating smoothly.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and maintenance of facilities, trucks, and trailers.
• Drives trucks and trailers to and from yards for routine maintenance.
• Cleans and maintains shop areas not covered under the janitorial contract.
• Schedules and picks up ordered parts and supplies.
• Maintains and tracks inventory records and conducts regular inventory checks.
• Supports the distribution of supplies and equipment to various departments.
• Facilitate communication between vendors and stakeholders.
• Collaborates with business partners in scheduling routine maintenance activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Working knowledge in basic repairs.

Pay Rate: $19.40 - $22.30 per hour, based on experience
