Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC is seeking a Maintenance Associate in Maryland to support the day-to-day upkeep of facilities and equipment. You will perform cleaning and routine maintenance on trucks and trailers, manage parts, and coordinate with vendors to keep operations running smoothly.

You will operate a forklift, maintain inventory, and assist with basic repairs as part of a hands-on maintenance team, earning $19.40–$22.30 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Working knowledge in basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and maintenance of facilities, trucks, and trailers.
• Drives trucks and trailers to and from yards for routine maintenance.
• Cleans and maintains shop areas not covered under the janitorial contract.
• Schedules and picks up ordered parts and supplies.
• Maintains and tracks inventory records and conducts regular inventory checks.
• Supports the distribution of supplies and equipment to various departments.
• Facilitate communication between vendors and stakeholders.
• Collaborates with business partners in scheduling routine maintenance activities.
