Job summary

The Legacy at North Augusta is seeking a part-time Utility Aide (Dishwasher) to support daily kitchen operations in Staunton, VA. You will wash and sanitize dishes, maintain a clean dishwashing area, and assist with basic kitchen tasks to ensure smooth service for residents and staff.

We value reliability, a positive attitude, and teamwork. Prior kitchen experience helps, but training is provided, and flexibility with day shifts is appreciated.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus but not required—we will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen.
• Assist with the removal of trash and recyclables, ensuring proper disposal.
• Restock clean items to designated areas for use by kitchen and dining staff.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Support kitchen staff by helping with basic food prep or other tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations.
