Job summary

The Village at Orchard Ridge, part of the National Lutheran Communities & Services family, is seeking a part-time Utility Aide (Dishwasher). You will wash dishes, maintain a clean dish area, and support kitchen staff to ensure a safe, pleasant dining experience for residents.

We offer flexible PRN shifts, paid training, and a supportive team that values reliability and teamwork. No prior experience required—training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous kitchen/dishwashing experience is a plus but not required—training provided.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Willingness to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
• Assist with organizing and storing clean dishes and supplies.
• Support kitchen staff by helping with basic food prep or other tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
