City of Fredericksburg is seeking a Utility Billing Manager to oversee the Utility Billing department and supervise three utility account analysts. The role involves managing customer records, service changes, meter readings, and rate changes, while ensuring timely billing and accurate adjustments.

The ideal candidate has five years of supervisory experience and at least three years in utility billing, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Lead and supervise the Utility Billing department and staff.
• Prepare and manage all utility billing accounts and customer records.

• Collect meter readings and implement corrections and adjustments as needed.
• Prepare service orders and adjustments to customer accounts; assist with disconnections for non-payment as needed.

The City of Fredericksburg is accepting applications for a Utility Billing Manager. Under administrative direction of the Director of Finance, this position supervises the Utility Billing department, which includes three Utility Account Analysts. The Utility Billing Manager is responsible for preparation and management of all utility billing accounts, including, but not limited to, maintaining customer information, service changes, meter change outs, and rate changes; also, prepares service orders, and prepares and enters adjustments to utility accounts. This position is responsible for generating monthly utility bills, past due bills, and final bills. Additional duties include collecting readings from automated meter server and making corrections and adjustments as needed; prepares non-payment disconnect listing and other various reports. Qualifications include high school diploma, or equivalent, five years of supervisory experience and three years of utility billing experience. Applications may be picked up and dropped off at 2818 E.
