ABB's NEMA Motors Division in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Auto Punch/Press Operator to join a fast-paced production team.

You will perform essential duties, operate and service punching equipment, and follow work orders, blueprints, and shipping labels while maintaining reliable attendance and flexibility for overtime. The role demands strong attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to safety practices.

Qualifications

Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.Your role and responsibilities:Adhere to all ABB safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.Perform physical job duties in a fast-paced production environment, including standing/walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and executing repetitive movements such as gripping, pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching.Operate and assist with the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production equipment and tools to support efficient manufacturing operations and resolve equipment issues (e.g., die jams).Follow written and verbal instructions, accurately interpret work orders, blueprints, inventory documentation, and shipping labels, while maintaining reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime, including weekends and short-notice assignments.Qualifications for the role:Ability to safely perform essential Auto Punch/Press Operator duties in a manufacturing environment while maintaining compliance with all safety requirements.Physical ability to perform job functions for 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, including standing, operating equipment, and handling materials as required.Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices that protect both self and coworkers.Ability to effectively operate and monitor automated punch press and related production equipment.Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow work instructions, quality standards, and production requirements.Effective communication skills and willingness to report any limitations affecting job performance and work collaboratively to support operational needs.This Position reports to: Patrick Sexton (3rd Shift)Hourly pay range: $22.70-$28.59(Shift premium for 2nd & 3rd shift)More about us:ABB’s NEMA Motors Division is the global leading electric NEMA motors manufacturer.
