Job summary

Sagora is hiring a Utility at our Asher Point of Waco community. This role supports dining room and kitchen cleanup, assisting the Dining Room Manager and Culinary Director to ensure hospitality and satisfaction for residents and guests.

Based in Waco, the position requires teamwork, strong communication, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Full-time hours with competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of experience in a commercial kitchen operation is preferred.
• Must have food handler’s permit as required by state and/or local authority.
• Excellent communication skills; read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to multi-task and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Collect dishes and kitchen utensils from tables during mealtimes.
• Wash dishes and utensils to high cleanliness standards.
• Monitor the temperature of the dishwashing machine and report readings.
• Remove cracked or broken dishes or hazardous utensils from service.
• Store dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for next mealtime.
• Set up tables and beverage station; refill salt, pepper, and sugar dispensers.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and courteously.
• Dispose of trash properly; deep-clean kitchen monthly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floor and walk-in areas nightly.

Notify the Culinary Director promptly of any unacceptable temperature readings.Remove from service all cracked or broken dishes or damaged utensils that might be hazardous to residents.
