Job summary

Sagora is seeking a Utility at Elison Assisted Living of Bella Vita in Venice, FL to manage dining room and kitchen cleanup while supporting the Culinary Director. You will collect and wash dishes, set up tables, portion salads and desserts, and deliver meals to residents with friendly service.

Requirements include 6+ months in a commercial kitchen, and a state/local food handler permit. The role is on-site with full-time or part-time shifts; excellent communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months or more of experience in a commercial kitchen operation is preferred.
• Must have food handler’s permit as required by state and/or local authority.
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Collect dishes and kitchen utensils from the tables during mealtimes.
• Wash dishes and kitchen utensils, assuring highest standards of cleanliness.
• Eliminate stains from all utensils.
• Monitor the temperature of the dishwashing machine daily to ensure proper operation; notify Culinary Director of any issues.
• Discard cracked or damaged dishes or utensils that might be hazardous to residents.
• Store dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for use at the next mealtime.
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and decoration under the Culinary Director.
• Set up tables and beverage stations and refill salt, pepper, and sugar dispensers.
• Ensure salads and desserts are properly portioned and serve meals promptly and cordially.
• Deliver meals to residents’ rooms as needed and dispose of trash properly.
• Deep-clean the dishwashing area and kitchen monthly; sweep and mop floors and walk-ins daily.
