Job summary

Ohio CAT, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking a dedicated technician to load and unload heavy equipment, wash and inspect units, and report any damages. You will perform minor repairs and PM services, work in all weather, and communicate with customers in a professional, courteous manner.

The role requires a High School diploma, with technical education preferred, and the ability to work flexible shifts.

Hours:

730am-4pm

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will require the ability to load and unload equipment safely onto and off of trucks and trailers, wash equipment, inspect it, and communicate any damages when equipment is returned. Perform minor repairs/inspections and PM Services on the equipment, work in all weather types, have great organizational and communication skills, and can work with customers professionally and courteously.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma required.
  • A college degree or continued education in a technical field is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible/Shift hours.
COMPETENCIES:
  • General technical service skills, or mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Some computer and software skills are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical requirements of this job include lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and pulling up to 50 lbs. Standing, sitting, and climbing up and down stairs, as well as standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
