Sagora Senior Living is hiring a Utility team member at Asher Point in Sherman. The role supports Dining Room and Culinary Director in guaranteeing hospitality, service, and satisfaction for residents and guests by managing dining room and kitchen cleanup and meal assistance.

Qualifications include 6+ months in a commercial kitchen, a state-required food handler permit, and strong English communication. The position offers varied shifts and opportunities to grow within Sagora’s caring culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Must have a food handler permit as required by state/local authority.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect dishes and utensils from tables during mealtimes.
• Wash dishes and utensils to high cleanliness standards.
• Eliminate stains from utensils.
• Monitor the dishwasher temperature daily and report unacceptable readings.
• Remove cracked or damaged items to maintain safety.
• Store dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for next mealtime.
• Follow established meal prep and decoration methods under direction.
• Set up tables and beverage stations; refill condiments.
• Serve meals promptly and courteously; deliver to residents as needed.
• Dispose of trash properly and maintain a clean work area.
• Deep-clean the kitchen and dishwasher monthly; sweep/mop floors and walk-ins nightly.

Notify the Culinary Director promptly of any unacceptable temperature readings.Remove from service all cracked or broken dishes or damaged utensils that might be hazardous to residents. Notify the Culinary Director of damage.Store dishes, glassware, and utensils properly for use at the next mealtime.Under the direction of the Culinary Director, follow established methods of meal preparation and decorationSet up tables and beverage station and refill all salt, pepper, and sugar dispensers.As directed, assure all salads and desserts are properly portioned.Serve meals to residents promptly and in a friendly and courteous manner. Deliver meals to residents’ rooms as needed.Dispose of all trash in a proper manner.Clean dishwashing machine inside and out after each shift.
