Job summary

The Meadows of Napa Valley in Napa, CA is seeking a Utility team member to support dishwashing and cleaning duties across the dining service areas. You will follow established procedures to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen sanitation, adhering to food safety standards, and assisting leadership with training as needed. This is an on-site, full-time position in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of dishwashing experience.
• Experience in hospitality or senior living environments preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow dishwashing and cleaning procedures as directed by back-of-house leadership.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen fixtures and areas.

At the direction of the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and/or Utility Lead you will be assigned specific cleaning duties to ensure that all fixtures and equipment throughout all kitchens (and any other areas assigned) are cleaned regularly in accordance with directed cleaning schedules, while ensuring adherence to all established Dining Services policies and procedures.**Our Utility Team:*** Attend all team meetings and/or events requiring your presence.* Remains knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act in a calm manner in the event of an emergency.* Follow the specific standardized dishwashing and/or cleaning processes and procedures as directed by the back-of-house leadership team.* Keep the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and/or Utility Lead informed of any potential problems as they surface to ensure timely resolution.* Lead by example with regard to food safety and sanitation, maintaining an environment and work area that demonstrates safety and sanitation are paramount.* May be asked to train newly hired and transitioned utility team members in accordance with a consistent and effective training process/program.* Perform other duties as assigned.**What you'll need*** Minimum of 1 year's dishwashing and/or commercial kitchen cleaning experience within a hospitality and culinary-focused environment preferred; to include hotels, resorts, restaurants, and/or senior living environments is preferred.* Any current state-sanctioned regulatory Food and Alcoholic Beverage Licenses that are required in order to work within the food, beverage, and/or health services environment.
