Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Utility Technician in Twin Falls, Idaho to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on Process Refrigeration, HVAC, Boilers, and Compressed Air equipment. You will operate boilers and ammonia compressors, condensers, and associated systems, while contributing to the facility's safety and plant reliability.

The role requires 2–4 years in manufacturing, strong teamwork, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Maintain steam supply system including valves, heat exchangers, and condensate traps.
• Operate high pressure boilers and feed water systems.
• Service traps and water feed for boilers and heat exchangers.
• Evaluate steam/condensate system components and adjust as needed.
• Dismantle/repair malfunctioning boiler components.
• Take water tests and maintain chemical levels in boilers.
• Communicate and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate ammonia compressors, condensers, fans, pumps, evaporators, and heat exchangers.
• Follow safe practices for ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Install, repair, tear down and rebuild system components on refrigeration and heating systems.
• Evacuate ammonia refrigeration systems as needed.
• Test system operation using gauges and instruments.
• Adjust valves and charge system with refrigerant as specified.
• Install wiring to connect components to power source.
• Perform mechanical overhauls and pipe work.
• Maintain SOPs, drawing mark-ups, and logbooks across shifts.
• Maintain and operate Energy Management System.
• Understand Process Safety Management regulations.
