Job summary

Chobani is seeking Maintenance Technicians for our Idaho plant to perform timely repair and preventive maintenance on filling machines, detectors, case erectors, packers, sealers, pasteurizers, motors, pumps and conveying equipment. Qualified applicants will have experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical breakdowns in manufacturing, with adherence to safety, GMPs and environmental standards.

The role includes flexible scheduling, and duties as a technical resource for operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in food production/manufacturing maintaining filling, packaging, and processing equipment.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 2-year technical trade certification or journeyman-level training preferred.
• Ability to translate complex issues and improve processes while working independently or with a team.
• Experience reading mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics; familiar with CMMS/EAM.
• Capable of standing up to 12 hours, lifting up to 60 lbs, and working in hot/cool environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment quickly to determine root causes with limited information.
• Interact with plant personnel at all levels; communicate clearly and effectively.
• Work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Provide guidance as a technical resource to operations staff.
• Identify root causes and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Follow standard work orders; complete tasks accurately and safely.
