Job summary

STFcareers is seeking a Utilities General Supervisor to oversee refrigeration, boiler systems, compressed air, and HVAC/Electrical across B Shift. You will work with the Environmental/PSM Manager to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and safe operation of critical utility systems.

The role bridges shifts, supervises a team, and acts as a backup for the Utilities Manager when needed. Strong knowledge of industrial utilities and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial refrigeration, boiler systems, and air compressors.
• Familiarity with Process Safety Management and permit procedures/authorization.
• Ability to multitask across multiple shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility team across shifts to ensure smooth operation of plant systems.
• Plan, organize and schedule work to complete control room activities.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and repair of plant utility processes with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines in utility processes.
• Organize training for subordinates and communicate performance feedback.
• Maintain shift cycles and effective handoffs between shifts.
