The City of Delray Beach is seeking an entry-level trainee to perform basic cleaning and maintenance of lift stations, water and wastewater distribution systems; and/or water treatment plant. Knowledge of materials, methods, practices and equipment used in the water and wastewater field. Ability to communicate verbally. Basic Mathematical skills. Physical condition, strength and agility commensurate with the demand of the position, occasionally under adverse weather conditions. Ability to work rotating shifts as applied.
A comparable combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position, may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Works outside in various weather conditions, confined spaces, chemicals, electricity, around light power equipment. Slippery surfaces. Below ground level, odor. Climbs ladders and heights (up to 60 feet).
